THE HULKIN ME

There comes a time when you have to stop and ask yourself: Am I in control of my future, or am I just following someone else's script?

At some point, you realize that being powerful — having knowledge, resilience, and an unstoppable drive — can make you a target. Some people won't like you simply because of how you move, how you think, and how you execute your vision despite having limited resources. But that's their problem, not yours.

The key is to recognize your own power, develop a plan, and build resources that allow you to operate independently — no matter who is against you.

I never waited for validation. I never waited to be invited to the table. I built my own.

This isn't just another book about success. This is a wake-up call. It's here to challenge your thinking, force you to ask better questions, and help you recognize the power you already have.

Because if you don't own your story, someone else will write it for you.

We've been taught that a degree is the golden ticket to success. That without it, doors won't open, opportunities won't come, and we'll be left struggling. But that's not always the truth. The most valuable asset you can have isn't a degree — it's knowledge.

I was on the honor roll in college, excelling in my studies, but something felt off. The deeper I got into my coursework, the more I realized that sitting in a classroom, memorizing theories, and taking exams wouldn't prepare me for the real-world challenges of business, media, and entrepreneurship.

So I made a bold decision: I dropped out after my first year. Not because I couldn't handle the work. Not because I lacked discipline. But because I understood something many people take years to figure out: education and knowledge are not the same thing.

For the next year, I made the library my second home. Every single day, as long as the doors were open, I was there. I wasn't just reading random books — I was studying business, marketing, branding, finance, media. I created my own curriculum based on what I needed to know to win.

That's how I built The Hype Magazine — not with a trust fund, not with an investor's backing, but with pure knowledge and execution.

A traditional education can give you structure, but self-education gives you freedom. When you take control of your learning, you learn at your own pace, focus on what truly matters, apply real-world strategies immediately, and gain adaptability across industries.

Because of this, I can walk into any room, talk to anyone, and bring value. I don't need a specific industry to define me. I am the value. I am the niche.

If I could do it all over again, I would have stayed in school, gotten that degree, and built lifelong relationships for leverage. Because no matter which path you take — formal education or the school of hard knocks — you still pay. The college route costs tuition. The self-taught route costs time, mistakes, and missed opportunities.

Be careful who you take advice from. Not everyone guiding you wants to see you win. Ask: Did they start with resources or build from nothing? Are they speaking from experience or just repeating what they heard?

The only thing that stays with you forever is what you know and how you apply it. Knowledge is the first real resource you need — because it's the one thing no one can take from you.

One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is waiting for the perfect moment. They spend months — sometimes even years — planning, tweaking, and refining their ideas instead of just getting started.

Meanwhile, someone with less knowledge but more execution is already making moves. They're learning by doing, adjusting as they go, and building momentum. While you're still sitting on your idea, trying to perfect it, they're already out there making money, building a brand, and creating impact.

I see it all the time — people smarter and more talented than their competition, but stuck in their heads. They overthink every detail. The problem? That moment never comes. There will always be something to fix. If you wait for perfection, you'll never move.

Success doesn't come to those who wait. It comes to those who execute.

The longer you sit on an idea, the more likely you are to talk yourself out of it, let fear creep in, or allow someone else's insecurities to become your hesitation.

I've seen people with half-baked ideas make millions because they had the confidence to put it out there and refine as they go. Meanwhile, the ones with "perfect" ideas never get off the ground because they were too scared to take the first step.

When I started The Hype Magazine, I didn't wait until I had investors lined up. I didn't wait until I had a full team. I launched with what I had and figured the rest out along the way.

The faster you move, the more you learn. You gain real-world feedback faster, learn what works in real-time, adapt before your competition, and build confidence and momentum.

Some people will try to hold you back — not because they care about your success, but because they're uncomfortable with how fast you move. Move anyway.

There is no reward for the person with the best idea sitting in their notes app. The only reward goes to the person who executes.

An idea without execution is just a fantasy.

Some of the most successful businesses didn't start with a perfect plan — they started because someone had the guts to take action.

The difference between winners and dreamers? Winners execute. Dreamers wait.

If you're waiting for everything to be "just right" before you start, you'll never start at all.

Take the first step. Adjust as you go. That's how real success is built.

Imagine trying to build an entire house with just a screwdriver. You might be able to get a few things done, but the moment pressure hits, the structure will collapse.

That's what happens when you try to build success without the right tools. Hustle alone won't save a foundation built on the wrong resources.

To build something that lasts, you need a financial plan. You need knowledge of credit and investments. You need a strategic network. You need the ability to execute quickly. And you need a mindset built for long-term success.

Success isn't just about working hard — it's about having the right resources at the right time. The people who win aren't always the ones who grind the hardest; they're the ones who equip themselves properly before the work even begins.

Don't sabotage your own effort by showing up underprepared. Gather your tools first. Then build.

Be careful about whose advice you take. Not everyone guiding you wants to see you win.

Some people pretend to be mentors but are actually undercover haters — quietly hoping you don't surpass them. Others mean well, but their advice is based on their own experiences, which may not apply to your journey.

Before you follow someone's lead, ask yourself: What was their starting point? Did they have access to resources, or did they build from nothing? Are they speaking from experience, or are they just repeating what they heard?

One person might tell you that networking doesn't matter — but that's because they were born into connections. I had to build my network from the ground up, so for me, it was essential.

Take advice, but filter it through your reality. The same strategy that saved someone else can sink you if their starting point was nothing like yours.

One of the biggest lies people tell you is that you need to find your niche. They say, "Pick one thing and stick to it."

I don't believe in that. You don't have to fit into a niche — you are the niche.

People waste too much time trying to fit into boxes that weren't built for them. Your value isn't in conforming. Your value is in what makes you different.

That's why I made it my business to understand multiple industries. I wanted to be able to walk into any room, hold a conversation, and bring value. That ability to adapt? That's power.

Stop shrinking yourself to fit into predefined categories. Your uniqueness is your advantage. Own it.

People follow people, not brands. If you want to build something lasting, you have to create influence — not just a company.

That means telling your story so people connect with your mission. Building relationships that open doors and create opportunities. Leveraging platforms to reach, inspire, and impact others.

Your influence is your real currency. When you become the authority in your space, opportunities chase you.

The biggest mistake people make? They get comfortable.

But the most powerful people in the world — the real winners — are constantly evolving.

To stay ahead, you must pivot when needed, embrace new challenges, and be willing to reinvent yourself.

Those who resist change get left behind. Those who embrace it become unstoppable.

No one in my family sat me down and said: Start building your credit early. Buy a small house instead of renting — you can leverage that later. Get a Universal Life Policy at 18 so you can always "Be Your Own Bank."

Instead, I was told the same thing so many of us were taught: "Work hard and pay your bills on time."

That advice wasn't wrong — it just wasn't enough. It was survival thinking, not growth thinking.

But the Hulk in me wanted more. So I made a choice. I studied. I learned. And I built my own plan.

Breaking a generational curse doesn't mean rejecting where you came from. It means refusing to pass the same limitations to the next generation. You become the one who learns the rules, builds the resources, and opens doors that were never open before.

The cycle breaks with you — but only if you choose to do the work.

The Hulk in me refuses to wait for permission. The Hulk in me refuses to be limited by others' opinions. The Hulk in me creates opportunities instead of waiting for them.

And you have that same power. Inside you is someone capable of more than you realize.

The only question is: Are you ready to unleash it?

It's time to stop waiting. It's time to start executing. It's time to own your power.

The Hulk in you is waiting. Unleash it.

This isn't just a book — it's a call to action. The world rewards those who move. Be bold. Be relentless. Be the Hulk in you.
